Overview
Troydon Contractors Limited was established in 1997 however, changed its scope from Bulk Cartage to works in the civil and construction industry in late 2010. Founded by Darren Abernethy, who has over 35 years proven and respected experience in the civil construction sector, Darren has built a strong reputation for delivering quality service, on time, and at a competitive price. He prides Troydon on being skilled and experienced in aspects of civil construction where quality is paramount.
Our commitment to innovation and excellence invariably results in successfully completed projects for both contractor and client. We understand and promote the idea of working as a partnership with our clients to ensure their goals, objectives and ideals are met with an ease of construction.
At Troydon we never rest upon our past successes, future projects and commitments are equally important. We are passionate and driven to continue the high levels of customer satisfaction that have been achieved by each of our team members throughout their careers.
We undertake a variety of projects for a wide range of clientele – from small private developments to large Local Body and commercial projects. Our unique and flexible project management systems coupled with our mobility ensures that a positive outcome is achieved regardless of size or nature of the project.
Our History
After a successful career in the Civil Construction industry with Knaggs Construction, Darren thought it time to offer the civil construction clients he had worked closely with over numerous years, the project delivery with exceptional quality, timely manner and style they had come to be familiar with, he did this under his own branding as Troydon Contractors Limited.
Troydon Contractors, for many years (since 1997) had operated as a Bulk Cartage company sub-contracting to Blacktop Construction and providing a haulage service for Darren’s company, Patumahoe Soil. It was in early 2010 that Darren increased resource and stepped out into the civil construction market to undertake projects of varying and any size and nature. Providing quality of service, cost effective options and a ‘problem solving’ approach to any project has enabled Troydon Contractors to establish itself within the construction sector as a reputable company.
Health and Safety.
The health, safety and welfare of all staff, sub-contractors, clients and visitors is significantly important to Troydon Contractors, and it is our intention to strive for excellence in the effective health and safety management of all construction sites under our control.
We also aim to effectively mitigate all hazards arising from our facilities, activities and site specific environments.
All our staff are Site Safe accredited. We also ensure we comply with all legal obligations, relevant standards and codes of practice with a commitment to developing a culture of safety within the civil construction industry.
Environmental Sustainability.
For Troydon Contractors the environment in which we work and the protection of such is of great consideration. We understand that environmental sustainability is everyone’s responsibility and as a caring, local company we are prepared to take all necessary precautions in this regard. We also realise that a commitment to the environment is not just socially responsible, but also good business practice as we seek to increase our constantly growing reputation.
